That’s a tough question for many people, although there’s certainly plenty of folk at Ubisoft who are pretty happy to. Just look at the Far Cry games, in which dogs getting shot at is not an uncommon activity. The more interesting question is just how a dog operator would work; it seems unlikely than Ubisoft would add an AI character to the game, but the fact that the creative director frequently talks about a dog operator suggests that there’s certainly thought being put into the hypotheticals.
The same video also discussed the potential of a dual-pistol-wielding operator (“This is something we always think about”) and the idea of there being more than one Elite skin for each operator (“Why not three? We’ll see.”)
For now though, we’ll just have to stick with Rainbow Six Siege’s latest operators, Goyo and Amaru, who are certainly less ordinary than many of their teammates thanks to their exploding napalm shields and grappling hook. We never thought we’d see these kind of gadgets back in 2015.
