Iron Man VR
finally has a release date. Marvel announced during its Mavel Games panel at New York Comic Con that PlayStation’s upcoming Iron Man sim will be released on February 28. 2020.During a New York Comic Con panel, Marvel finally shared some more details about developer Camouflage’s upcoming Iron Man VR
game for PSVR. Iron Man VR was first announced earlier this year, but Marvel finally revealed a February 2020 release date. The company also shared the first story trailer for the game as Iron Man VR will have an original story
unique to the VR game.
According to the trailer shown to audiences attending the panel, Iron Man VR stars Iron Man battling Ghost who you might remember as the phasing villain from Ant-Man and The Wasp. Ghost is out to “conquer” Tony Stark after ransacking Stark Tower. Ghost can interface directly with the player’s VR headset, making her hacking abilities affect the player directly. IGN’s reporter describes the trailer as having almost a “survival horror” feel to it. You can watch IGN’s hands-on impressions video below.
Voice actor Josh Keaton will be voicing Tony Stark in Iron Man VR, while Nick Fury, Pepper Potts, and Friday will also appear in the game’s story. According to the costume designer for Iron Man VR Tony’s suit in this game harkens back to the “Demon in a Bottle” storyline. This is one of the most famous Iron Man stories
in comics where Stark battles alcoholism.
Marvel also revealed some pre-order bonuses for Iron Man VR including several different Iron Man suits in different colors, and other in-game goods. Some suits will be available early as part of the Digital Delux edition. Marvel did not share when Iron Man VR will be available for pre-order, but check back with IGN for all the latest info.
