Going Back to the gym
Communities are continuing to lift regulations that had previously temporarily closed all gyms. Heed your local community guidelines when heading back into the gym.
If you have experienced symptoms of COVID-19, if you have been around someone who has been infected, or if you are facing health problems that put you in an at-risk category, you may want to avoid revisiting the gym for the time being. As always, please consult your doctor before beginning a fitness routine.
These days, it isn’t just about having the right form when working out at the gym. You need to make sure that you’re practicing social distancing and cleaning your machines properly to maintain a clean workout setting for yourself and those around you. Luckily, our team is here to help! We have updated our gym layouts to encourage social distancing and we are practicing upgraded disinfecting and sanitization schedules for all spaces in our clubs.
There are additional steps you can take for healthy workouts that include coronavirus gym precautions. Here are some added COVID gym tips to follow for a healthy workout:
- Keep your distance from others in the gym.
- Wash your hands often, especially before and after your workout.
- Consider visiting the gym during slower times of day.
- Avoid touching your face, especially your nose, mouth, or eyes.
- Choose water bottles over the water fountain. If needed, we have water bottles at the front desk for you.
- Wear a mask that covers your nose and mouth.
- Wipe down your equipment or weights before and after use.
- Shower at home following your workout.
