If you previously pre-ordered any version of Final Fantasy 7 Remake from the Square Enix Store, you’ll have until the end of February to keep your order. Otherwise, Square Enix will automatically cancel your order and the company says it “will not be able to reinstate your pre-order based on limited quantities available.”
Orders from other retailers should be unaffected.
All the Big Games Coming in 2020
Anyone who pre-ordered a version of Final Fantasy 7 Remake from the Square Enix store should search their inboxes from an email and follow the instructions to keep their pre-orders. While this is inconvenient, there shouldn’t be any problems so long as you opt-in.
Final Fantasy 7 Remake was delayed from March 3 to April 10, 2020. It was one of two delays Square Enix announced, the other being Marvel’s Avengers which was pushed back to September 4.
While the delays are unfortunate, both games will still be released this year. Check out IGN’s full list of the biggest games of 2020 as well as our Final Fantasy 7 Remake preview for more coverage.
